The Spiggie Guest House (formerly the Spiggie Hotel) is a small privately owned country inn with six en-suite rooms and a fully fitted self-catering chalet. Shetlander Keith Massey purchased the Spiggie in October 2007 after a spell of 18 years away from the islands. Keith worked and travelled widely and had the dream to return home and provide an environment and experience for guests that will hopefully, surpass their expectations.
Whether you are a business traveller or on holiday, we at the Spiggie Guest House aim to make your stay as memorable as possible. We have a cosy bar with welcoming leather sofas and a real fire. We serve real ales including some from the local Lerwick and Valhalla Breweries and are currently listed in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide.
The Spiggie Guest House now operates on a seasonal basis from April through mid October. Guests are able to book for bed and breakfast or on a half-board basis. Three course dinner options are availble to our guests and to other guests on an advanced bookings basis and are priced at £25 p/p. See 'Food' for a sample menu
The Spiggie has over the years built its repuation on providing good quality, home coked food using the best of fresh local ingredients. During summer months, there is an abundance of great seafood and fish availble to guests and we will strive to include any personal preferences in your choices.
